Small-Scale Grower Program

This program was developed to address increasing requests from consumers and producers to supply turkey for targeted markets, including smaller retail outlets, farmers’ markets, and primary processing needs. Its aim is to help small-scale growers establish themselves in the Ontario turkey industry with the end goal of obtaining quota. Growers can apply for 1,000 to 5,000 kilograms on a yearly application.

Applications are being accepted from August 1 to November 30, 2026 for birds grown between June 27, 2027 and June 24, 2028. Any applications or questions can be sent to regulatory@turkeyfarmers.on.ca.
