Talking Turkey Teacher’s Kit
Talking Turkey Teacher’s Kit is a series of teacher’s guides for Kindergarten to Grade 3 focusing on the turkey industry and integrated into many subject areas. Each grade builds on the knowledge base of the previous year and meets the expectations in science, health, language, visual arts, math and social studies.
The kit includes teacher’s guides for each grade level (K-3), 2 copies of the colour brochure Talking Turkey and Uncle Tom’s Turkey Farm Poster, Canada’s Food Guide, and a Virtual Farm Tour CD.

This new secondary resource has a unique hands-on approach to activities associated with turkey farming and a restaurant business. Students “inherit” a turkey farm and vacant restaurant facility and must learn about the industry and develop a business plan for its redevelopment.
